XV. We Believe in Prayer - We Speak to God

New Page 1

Prayer is the lifting up of our minds and hearts to God to adore Him for His benefits, to ask His forgiveness, and to beg of Him all the graces we need whether for soul or body.

Catechism

“The next morning, long before daylight, Jesus got up and left the house. He went out of town to a lonely place, where He prayed.”

Mark 1:35

Pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.

Eph.6:18

Prayer is a conversation with him who loves us.

St Therese of Lisieux

“We must breakaway from the crowd, go off alone with Jesus, and listen as He asks us the same questions that He asked His disciples: “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” (John 21:16)”

Mark Link S.J.
